She completed her DM in Nephrology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, after earning her MD in General Medicine from Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital and MBBS from SDM Medical College.

She is skilled in renal biopsy, vascular access procedures, peritoneal dialysis, and critical nephrology interventions. Dr. Bhattacharya has presented and published research at national and international forums including WCN, ISOT, KSN, and WINICON.

She is a member of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, Indian Society of Nephrology, Women in Nephrology, India, and Korean Society of Nephrology.
